Ashley “Ash” Harding is the owner and inspector of Ash The Home Inspector. With over 20 years of experience in estimating, construction management, and general contracting, Ash is proud to offer inspection services to his home community, all of Hawaii County, Hawaii.
After seven years of active duty in the United States Air Force where he served in public affairs, Ash began his construction career as an estimator then project manager for a large painting contractor in Honolulu. Ash then worked for a luxury home general contractor based out of Oahu’s North Shore as a carpenter and project manager before relocating to Hilo, Hawaii. In Hilo, Ash owns and operates Ash The Handyman, LLC, a construction company offering full construction services specializing in renovations and remodels, 24/7 electrical service and all things handyman. With a growing network of property managers, realtors, bankers, lenders, escrow officers, vendors, contractors, insurance agents and repeat satisfied clients, it only seemed natural for Ash to add home inspector to his services. Ash is fully certified through Inspection Certificate Associates and offers pre-purchase, pre-sale, single family, multi-family, condominium, commercial, new construction, new construction percent complete, and maintenance evaluation inspection services. Additional inspection services offered: mold/mildew, geothermal heat pump, radon, lead paint, asbestos, pool/sauna/spa, wood destroying organisms, tiny homes, septic, cesspool, water, sprinkler systems, wells, water testing, drone inspections.

Having lived in Hawaii for over 25 years, Ash’s passion for building and inspecting comes from a long family lineage of craftsmen. His great grandfather, Bronza Parks, was a renowned boat builder and one of the last builders of the Chesapeake Bay skipjack. Ash’s father Warren Preston “Pres” Harding Jr. is a general superintendent for a general contractor who specializes in historical restoration, luxury home and luxury commercial retail. With building in his blood, Ash is now doing what he loves, building and inspecting, in the place he loves and calls home, Hilo, Hawaii.
Ash earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. Ash credits his attention to detail, timeliness, organization and thoroughness to his Finance and Cost Accounting MBA that he earned in 2013.
In his spare time Ash enjoys playing music, golf and spending time with family and friends.
Ash and his wife Holly of 25 years live in Hilo with their two dogs Bonzai and Halo.
